Prof. Gilberto Fernando Xavier (Ph.D.) - Coordinator
Gilberto Xavier is biologist (University of São Paulo, 1978), received his master's (1981) and his doctorate (1985) in Psychobiology from the Federal University of São Paulo. He developed post-doctoral studies at the Institute of Psychiatry, University of London, at the University of Åarhus, Denmark, and at the University College London. Currently, he is Associate Professor at the Department of Physiology, Biosciences Institute, University of São Paulo. His research interests include neural substrates of learning and memory, anticipatory behaviour and attention.
Fields of interest:
learning and memory, neural circuits involved in adaptative behaviour, attentional systems.
